Genachowski, Obama's pick to lead FCC

It's pretty-much official now: Obama will appoint Julius Genachowski as chairman of the FCC. Judging by his past professions and views, he may be not be a Lessig but he is certainly someone to look forward to.

New spying powers did NOT help foil German terror plot

Final GPLv3 draft leaves Novell in the clear

Low Power FM expansion comes before the Senate (and House)

A bipartisan group of Senators and Representatives (H.R. 2802) have introduced the Local Community Radio Act of 2007 that expands the availability of Low-Power FM Stations, or LPFMs. These are non-commercial community-run radio stations that have a limited broadcasting range.
